Job Description :
My client is looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their finance team on a permanent basis. Reporting in to the Finance Manager you will be responsible for cash management weekly payroll credit control purchase ledger and general administration. The suitable candidate will have proven experience of all the duties listed below and be able to ensure continuity of the accounts department in the absence of the Finance Manager. A flexible cando attitude is a must as you maybe requested to complete adhoc duties by the Managing Director.
Responsibilities include Ensure all customers do not exceed credit limits or terms. Request new or increased limits from online IFF facility. Report any problematic accounts to Bank and Finance Manager. Enter all cash cheque and BACS receipts onto correct Sales Ledger Accounts. Resolve any discrepancy with customer or report to sales office. Liaise with sales office when proforma payments have been received. Complete paying in book with all cash receipts. Ensure banking is carried out daily. Monitor Age Debt Report. Register all purchase ledger invoices on the day of receipt. Make any necessary alterations / corrections to purchase ledger postings. Preparation of weekly computerised payroll Ensuring correct holiday pay and sick pay is payable Ensuring weekly BACS transfer of wages payments. Maintaining Personnel files and updat
