Group Accounts Assistant
£25 29000 P.A. STUDY BONUS etc
To assist the various members of the Group Accounting team
We are open to either take a part qualified candidate or someone whole is qualified by experience who is comfortable with this very hands on role. Certainly any previous exposure to debits amp credits will be a definite advantage and it is expected that all candidates will have a high degree of computer literacy.
Assist with the Preparationofstatutory accounts for small entities liaise with auditors as required
Prepare initial drafts of UK company accounts under guidance with a view to ownership later
Own various ledgers ensuring all postings are made on a timely basis
Assist with monthly consolidation reviewing data and distributing reports
Assist with intercompany reconciliation process ensuring identified actions are cleared on a timely basis
Ensure distribution and follow up of diagnostic report to all ledger owners
Gradually become local expert in the various accounting IT tools and give guidance and training if/when required
Ad hoc projects as required.
Attention to detail is paramount
Educated to degree level or equivalent
Prior knowledge of accounting concepts desirable
Extensive experience of Excel along with general computer literacy
Strong written and verbal communication skills
SUN SQL and Business objects knowledge desirable.
